"Ancient Egypt"

In order to assess student understanding of the core concepts covered during their  Ancient Egypt unit of study, students in Ms. Dutchover's 6th grade ELL Social Studies course created video portraits on selected topics from the unit.  These movies reflected the students' understanding of the aspects of Ancient Egyptian life.

Life Science Exploration
"Cell City"

Cell City was a project based learning experience in which students in Ms. Menchin's Life Science course learned how cells, the building blocks of life, compare with different buidlings in their environment. This project helped students understand that a city supports the needs of a community like a cell supports the needs of a body.
